00:REM: Chicken DOODLE Croquettes

10: 3 tablespoons butter
20: 5 tablespoon flour
30: 1 cup milk
40: 2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
50: 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
60: Salt & Pepper
70: 1/2 finely chopped onion
80: 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
90: 1 egg
100: 1 cup bread crumbs

 

 

110: READ: Melt butter, add flour and blend to smooth paste.
120: READ: Add milk gradually and cook till thickened,
stirring constantly.
130: READ: Add chicken and seasonings.
140: READ: Cool. 
150: READ: Shape into cylinders.
160: READ: Roll in fine dry bread crumbs.
170: READ: Dip in slightly beaten egg.
180: READ: Roll in crumbs again.
190: READ: Chill for about half an hour.
200: READ: Fry in deep fat till golden brown.
210: REM: Serve with Protocol Potatoes,
Basic Muffins, and Green Byte Beans.
