00:REM: Chicken DOODLE Dumplings

10: 2 cups flour
20: 3 teaspoons baking powder
30: 1/2 teaspoon salt
40: 1 tablespoon shortening
50: 3/4 (about) milk

 

60: READ: Mix ingredients till blended
65: READ: Drop by spoonful into boiling stew
70: READ: Cook 15-25 minutes or till dumplings are brown on top
and most of the stew liquid is absorbed

80: TYPE: Variations:

81: 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts or
82: 1 tablespoon onion flakes
